WIX installation


So you've got a Wix site and you want to use Subscribers? Good news! We can help you make it happen if you follow these simple steps: 

 

STEP 0: PREREQUISITES 

To install Subscribers.com you're going to need to be on Wix Premium plan subscriptions. If you're on this plan, read on. If not, it looks like you're going to need to upgrade your Wix subscription. 




STEP1: CHANGE YOUR SITE TO HTTP INSIDE OF SUBSCRIBERS.COM

This may sound weird but you will need to change your URL to "HTTP" inside of the Subscribers.com "Site Settings" tab, even though your site is an HTTPS site. We know... that's weird.... but trust us... It's a Wix thing :)

 

This is an easy change though. Just make sure you're logged into Subscribers and navigate under "Settings">"Site" and change your "SITE URL" to HTTP



(This does not affect your actual website's URL. This is strictly a setting inside of Subscribers.com)

 

STEP2: COPY YOUR SUBSCRIBERS CODE.

 
On the same Settings page, go to INSTALL and scroll down to "Manual Installation" to copy the code.

 







STEP3: Now you’re ready to install Subscribers.


  • On your Wix Dashboard, Click “Settings”.

  • Click the Tracking & Analytics tab under Advanced Settings.

  • Click + New Tool and select Custom from the dropdown. 

  • Set up your custom code:

    • Enter your custom code.

    • Select the relevant domain.
      Note: This option will appear only if you have multiple domains.

    • Enter a name for your custom code. 

    • Add Code to Pages: Select which pages to add your code to:

      • All pages: Select “lLoad code on each new page” from the dropdown.

      • Choose specific pages: Begin typing the name of the relevant pages and then click the checkbox next to the relevant page. 

    • Place Code in: Select “Head” from the list.

  • Click Apply. 


STEP3: VERIFY YOUR SITE IN SUBSCRIBERS

Once the installation is all set, you can then go to your account dashboard and under settings> Install Code, scroll down, to see the button to verify.
kindly please log into your account dashboard and scroll down to the bottom left menu under "Settings"

Then go up to the right side and hit "Install" from there you scroll all the way down to see the "Verify Installation.

 Please note that it may recognize some errors but if you're certain that you have followed all the installation steps then you may go ahead and click on the override verification. 




Click that, and you're finally ready to roll. Your users will see the "Subscribe" prompt. You can go to your Dashboard's settings>Prompt settings page to enable and further customize your Modal opt-in prompt.
